Last week we had our last Bowling Day with our homeschool group. Our group has been together for 4 years now. We schedule monthly activities throughout the year to get our kids together. Ice skating and bowling are consistent. We try to do science, history, crafts, poetry night, and field trips. We have also scheduled summer park days, but the last few times it has rained.
The girls in our group have become really good friends and they are all avid readers. They kind of have their own little book club and get each other to read the same books. Right now, it's Lord of the Rings. During our bowling session, they were more interested in listing all the characters in the Fellowship of the Ring and what they do, than bowling.
They term themselves "Adorkable". Adorable dorks! I just think they are so cute and love the relationships my daughter has developed with these girls. I'm so happy for her to have such great friends.
